THE Chief Imam of the Muslim community at Lagos State University, Prof. Amidu Sanni has appreciated the University’s Muslim community for their support during the activities of the recently concluded Ramadan 1445 AH while congratulating them on the successful completion of the Holy Month.

A statement made available for publication and signed by Dr Abideen Tijani for the Ramadan Committee read: “As-salam alaykum warahmatu’l-lah. Wa barakatuhu.  In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. All glory and adorations belong to the Most High, Allah, ‘subhanahu wata’ ala’.  Alhamdulillahi, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah robi-l – alamin.

“On behalf of the members of the LASUMUC Ramadan Committee, I congratulate us on the successful completion of Ramadan 1445 AH. May Allah accept our ibadah from us, Amin.

“I am very sure we had a splendid Eid celebration. LASUMUC Ramadan Committee expresses its heartfelt gratitude to every member of the LASU Muslim Community for the unquantifiable support towards the success of all activities scheduled for Ramadan 1445 AH. We appreciate your attendance/ participation in each of our programmes during Ramadan.

“We are also indeed grateful to every individual who publicised our activities via the Social Media Platforms. You have preached the word of Allah by your action. You have externalised our Ummah,  helped individuals to increase their Islamic knowledge, and have projected Lagos State University Muslim Community (LASUMUC) as a virile Ummah. We are profoundly grateful.

“In addition, despite the economic reality of our time, you contributed massively to His course, noting particularly our Tafsir Programme. May He reward you richly and beyond what you imagine, Amin.

“We are deeply honoured to be part of this beautiful and united Ummah. We look forward to worshipping together next Ramadan in sha Allah.

“We beseech Almighty Allah to accept all our ibaadah, sacrifice and efforts during the holy month and grant us peace, prosperity, progress, and above all, the taqwa to continue to serve humanity with all the means He has granted to us. May Allah SWT be our constant Guide and Protector at all times as well as make us witness a more memorable blessed month of Ramadan and grant us the inherent blessings, Ameen.

“Taqabbal Allahu Minna Wa Minkum.”
