MUSIC icon, Oladapo Oyebanji, well known as D'banj, has been arrested and detained by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC) for alleged embezzlement.

According to media reports, the Kokomaster of Africa was arrested on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, on suspicion of fraudulently diverting funds meant for the N-Power project into his personal accounts.

The N-power program is a Federal government program established in 2016 to tackle issues such as youth unemployment and social development.

Before his arrest, reports suggest that the artiste had ignored multiple invitations by the anti-graft agency.

The authorities rejected the singer's request for bail, on the grounds that they could not rely on him to appear at his trial if he is released.
