A Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba has sent a 37-year-old auxiliary nurse, Fisayo Ogedengbe, and a friend of the late Mohbad, Ayobani Sadiq, who were arrested by the police in connection with the controversial death of the Nigerian hip hop artiste back to custody.
Reports state that the Court refused to grant them bail, stating that the case was still under investigation and that the suspects could interfere with the investigation if released. It was said that the late singer died as a result of injections given by the nurse.
Similarly, Mohbad’s friend, Ayobani Sadiq, who is being held as a suspect in the case was ordered to be returned to police custody by Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun.
However, Mohbad’s ex-boss, Naira Marley and a Lagos socialite, Sam Larry, who were also arrested in connection with Mohbad’s murder and placed into police custody on October 6, were each granted N20 million in bail by the Magistrate.
