ANUPA-LASU holds training for administrative staff

 THE Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), LASU has organised a one-day in-house training for officers on the Principal Assistant Registrar cadre.

The event, held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at the Aderemi Makanjuola Lecture Theatre, Ojo, Lagos aimed to enhance the professional skills and knowledge of administrative officers.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Admin), Prof. Adenike Omotunde Boyo, commended ANUPA-LASU for the initiative, emphasising the importance of continuous training and development for University administrators.

Registrar and immediate past Chairman of ANUPA-LASU, Mr Emmanuel A. FANU, delivered a lecture on "Managerial Aspirations and Administrative Leadership Roles: Impacts of Work Ethics and Attitudes of University Senior Administrators." He stressed the crucial role of effective leadership and human resource management in institutional success.

Deputy Registrar of the Directorate of General Administration, Archival & Legal Affairs, Mrs Olajumoke O. Boyejo, presented a paper on "Quality Service Delivery towards the University's Pursuit for Expansion and Growth: A Must for the University Administrator at the Managerial Level." She highlighted the importance of adhering to global standards, compliance with due processes, and sound interpretation of rules and regulations.

The training session aimed to improve capacity building amongst administrative officers and enhance their productivity. Participants were encouraged to take advantage of the training and participate with a positive mindset.

This exercise followed a similar training held in July 2023 for officers on Administrative Officer I to Senior Assistant Registrar Cadres. The event demonstrated LASU's commitment to staff development and its pursuit of excellence in university administration.
