THE Executives of the Federation of Epe Division Students' Association (FEDSA- LASU) paid a courtesy visit to the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Sciences on Friday, May 26, 2023, in a bid to connect with other FEDSA students in these Faculties.

It should be noted that FEDSA is the association of duly matriculated students of tertiary institutions, who are indigenes of the EPE Division of Lagos State, which comprises Local Governments and Local Development Areas such as Eredo, Ikosi Ejirin, Ibeju Lekki, and Epe Central.

The association is set up to promote the social, intellectual, and cultural heritage of the division, promote the good image of the association, promote the development of members socio-politically, enhance cordial relationships with other associations, and defend its members from all sorts of victimization.  760600cd-8a39-4f0c-9c28-dcbb46602656

The 24th administration of the association under the leadership of President Abdul-Qudus Ojikutu and other Executives of the association visited these two faculties to liaise with the Faculty Executives and most importantly, get connected with the members of the association in these Faculties.

The Executives of FEDSA met with President Ayanbiyi Habeeb and other Executives from the Faculty of Sciences, and President Afolabi Quadri Olawale, popularly known as APHOR and other Executives from the Faculty of Arts.

While speaking with the Faculties Presidents, President Ojikutu said” “FEDSA-LASU is a flexible association, i.e. an indigene of Epe can spend four or five years in school without knowing their indigenous association at all.

“Some students got duped during registrations of bursary and scholarship because of inadequate knowledge, and because of not passing through the right channel. Some persons registered but did not receive their money because of some discrepancies that can be corrected through the indigenous association and bodies, but couldn't be corrected or properly followed up because these students do not relate with the association.

He then added that the 24th administration determined to correct these issues, “As I have the interest of the members of the association at heart, that is why through all Faculties, we want to reach out to all FEDSITES for them to develop themselves and exploit all the benefits of the association.

“Our administration cannot afford to leave any FEDSITE behind. Other Faculties will be visited subsequently for the same purpose (for popular inclusiveness),” he stated.

He also urged every student who is an Epe indigene to join the association to get the benefits that are entitled to them.
