LASU, Epe Campus holds Town Hall meeting on students' welfare

IN a bid to tackle various issues concerning students’ welfare and campus well-being, Lagos State University, Epe Campus organised a pivotal Town Hall meeting on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

Headed by the Campus's Head, Prof. Elkanah O. Oyetunji, the meeting drew participation from Faculty members and students, marking a significant step towards addressing pressing concerns.

During the assembly, Prof. Oyetunji appreciated the student body for their understanding of the Campus's current challenges, urging them to maintain patience while assuring them of proactive measures being taken by the University Management. He reiterated the commitment to resolving identified issues and ensuring an enriching experience for all campus residents.

The discussions at the meeting spanned a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from academic resources to accommodation and campus facilities. Notably, student representatives seized the opportunity to voice their perspectives and suggestions, emphasising the imperative of enhancing campus conditions to augment the overall educational journey.

Expressing gratitude towards the attendees, including the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof Nurudeen Raji, Sub-Dean Dr Mary Adedoyin, and other key figures such as Mrs Adedeji E. O. from the Students Affairs department and Mr B. Anthonio, Head of Security, Prof. Oyetunji underscored the collaborative effort required to address the concerns effectively.

The presence of Heads of Departments, Student Union Executives, and a substantial representation of students from various programmes underscored the significance of the meeting in addressing collective challenges.
