LASU management conducts monitoring exercise for ongoing exam

The team visited the Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Centre and the Central Language Laboratory at the main campus in Ojo, Lagos.

IN line with the University Management's commitment to prioritising the welfare of students, a monitoring exercise of the ongoing First semester examinations for the 2023/2024 academic session was carried out by the University Management, led by Prof. Adenike Boyo, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) on Wednesday, May 8,  2024.

The team visited the Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Centre and the Central Language Laboratory at the main campus in Ojo, Lagos.

During the monitoring exercise, the Communication and Information Public Relations (CIPR) team assessed the situation and confirmed that the examinations were conducted smoothly at both centres. Some students were observed waiting in queues to enter the CBT halls, while others were already engaged in the examination on the computer systems at both locations.

Prof. Razak Olowu, the Head of the Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science, LASU, was also present at the CBT Centre. He expressed his appreciation to the Management for organising the Chemistry 101 examination simultaneously at the Ojo and Epe campuses, which was a first-time occurrence.

The monitoring team consisted of Prof. Funsho Omobitan, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Toyin Enikuomehin, the Director of ICT, and Dr Lateef Shekoni, the Deputy Registrar (VCO).

During the visit, the Management team was received by Prof. Adeleke Adeniyi from the Department of Chemistry, Dr Rilwan Mustapha, the Assistant Director of ICT, and Mr Samuel Fadipe, the Deputy Director of the Analyst & Hardware Unit at ICT, LASU.

Overall, the monitoring exercise was carried out successfully, ensuring that the ongoing First-semester examinations were being conducted efficiently.
