LASU to celebrate Year 2024 IWD on Tuesday

The Centre for Response and Prevention of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, LASU is solely to create awareness and also investigate issues of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence on Campus.

IN collaboration with the LASU Centre for Response and Prevention of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (CRPSGBV), the Organisation For Women In Science For Developing World (OWSD), LASU Chapter and Terra Academy for Arts (TAFTA), and the Lagos State University (LASU) is gearing up to commemorate the Year 2024 International Women's Day under the theme 'Count HER In: Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress'.

The event will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the Aderemi Makanjuola Lecture Theatre, on the LASU Main Campus, Ojo, by 10:00 am. The Chief Host for the occasion is Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, the Vice-Chancellor of LASU, while the Host is Dr Igot B. Ofem, the Acting Director of LASU CRPSGBV.

The International Women's Day celebration highlights the importance of women's participation and empowerment in various spheres of life, emphasising the need for investment in women to accelerate progress both locally and globally.
