LAGOS State University is gearing up to host its 27th convocation ceremonies, scheduled to be held from Thursday, May 30, to Thursday, June 6 2024, at the main campus, Ojo, Lagos.
This highly anticipated week-long event presents an excellent platform for businesses, including corporate bodies, banks, SMEs, vendors, photographers, and more, to engage in commercial activities and showcase their products and services.
With a diverse range of activities planned throughout the convocation period, LASU invites entrepreneurs and organisations to take full advantage of this opportunity to conduct business and display their offerings. The convocation ceremonies provide a unique chance to reach a broad audience and promote their brands to a captivated market.
The convocation programme includes a series of pre-convocation events, starting with the Convocation Press Conference on Thursday, May 30, 2024, held at the First Floor, Senate Chamber, Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos. A Convocation Sports Competition for Staff will take place on the same day at the LASU Sports Centre.
Additional events include a Special Jumat Service at the University Mosque on Friday, May 31, 2024, and a Special Thanksgiving Service at the University Chapel (Chapel of Light) on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
The highlight of the convocation week is the Award of Diplomas, First Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, Master's Degrees, Doctorate Degrees (PhD), and Conferment of Honorary Doctorate Degrees. These ceremonies will be held at the Buba Marwa Auditorium on different days, providing ample opportunities for businesses to engage with the attendees.
To facilitate participation, LASU has outlined charges for vendors and photographers interested in setting up shop during the convocation ceremonies. The fees are as follows: corporate bodies - N30,000 per day, vendors - N5,000 per day, and photographers - N5,000 per day. Graduands who wish to have a special space and canopy outside the ones provided by the University around the Convocation ground can secure one for N10,000.
