LAGOS State University (LASU) is preparing to host an orientation programme and matriculation exercise for its newly admitted part-time students.
The orientation programme is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the Aderemi Makanjuola Lecture Theatre, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos, by 10:00 a.m. prompt.
Meanwhile, the matriculation ceremony is scheduled for Friday, April 5, 2024, at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, main campus, Ojo, Lagos, by 10:00 a.m. prompt.
All newly admitted part-time students are required to attend both the orientation and matriculation ceremonies. Participants are advised to be seated by 9:00 a.m. on each day to ensure a punctual start.

The Directorate of Part-Time Studies at LASU has organised these events to welcome and formally induct the new students into the University community. The orientation programme aims to familiarise students with the University's policies, procedures, facilities, and support services. It will provide them with essential information to navigate their academic journey successfully.
During the orientation, students will have the opportunity to interact with faculty members, administrative staff, and fellow students. They will receive guidance on choosing courses, understanding academic requirements, and accessing resources, such as libraries, laboratories, and online learning platforms. Additionally, they will be introduced to various student organisations, clubs, and extracurricular activities available on campus.
Following the orientation, the matriculation ceremony marks the official admission of the students into LASU. Matriculation is a significant milestone in their academic career, as it symbolises their commitment to pursue knowledge, uphold the University's values, and contribute to the advancement of society.
As the orientation and matriculation ceremonies approach, LASU looks forward to warmly welcoming its new part-time students and wishes them a successful and rewarding educational journey at the institution.
