LASU VC felicitates with Muslim Students, Staff on Eid

IN a heartfelt message, the Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, conveyed her sincere Eid greetings to colleagues and students, extending warm wishes for peace, prosperity, and blessings upon the entire community.

As the festival of Eid El Fitri marks the culmination of the Holy month of Ramadan, the Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude for the opportunity to witness this auspicious occasion.

She recognised the significance of the past month, during which the University community embarked on a spiritual journey, seeking divine blessings for themselves, their families, and the institution as a whole. With a sense of reflection, Prof. Olatunji-Bello acknowledged the infinite mercies bestowed upon them by the Almighty Allah.

Emphasising the values instilled by Ramadan, the Vice-Chancellor stressed the importance of unity and solidarity within the community. She called upon everyone to embrace empathy, kindness, and generosity, urging them to forgive each other's shortcomings and extend love and support to those in need.

She also emphasised that this festive period presents a prime opportunity to offer assistance and lend a helping hand to those less fortunate.

Furthermore, Prof. Olatunji-Bello urged the University community to sustain the piety, discipline, and self-denial practiced throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan. By integrating these virtues into their daily lives, she emphasised the potential for long-term spiritual growth and the ability to reap the rewards of this sacred period.

In conclusion, Prof. Olatunji-Bello extended her wishes for a joyful and blessed Eid El Fitri to all members of the University community.
