NAEAP LASU, PUEA Nairobi set to hold conference

The event will bring together experts and professionals from various educational fields.

THE Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP), LASU branch, Lagos Chapter, in collaboration with the Presbyterian University of East Africa (PUEA) in Nairobi, Kenya, is set to organise a four-day conference on the theme "ICT, Educational Management and Planning in the Digital Age in Africa".

Scheduled to take place from Tuesday, June 4 to Friday, June 7, 2024, the conference will be held at the renowned Presbyterian University of East Africa Main Hall in Nairobi, Kenya. The organisers have adopted a hybrid presentation mode to accommodate in-person and virtual participation, ensuring a wider reach and inclusivity.

Distinguished scholars and renowned figures in the field of education have been invited to share their expertise and insights during the conference.

Dr Onoriode Potokri, a Senior Lecturer and Visiting Professor/Scholar from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, and Barry University in Miami, USA, will serve as the Keynote Speaker. Dr Potokri's extensive knowledge and experience in educational administration and planning make him a valuable contributor to the conference.

Two lead paper presenters will also grace the event with their valuable contributions. The first lead paper will be presented by Prof. Bolanle Ola, representing Darlinds Down Health and Services in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. Prof. Ola's expertise in educational management will shed light on the conference's central theme.

The second lead paper will be presented by Prof. Wangari Mwai, the Vice-Chancellor of the Presbyterian University of East Africa (PUEA). Prof. Mwai's insights and leadership in the education sector will undoubtedly enrich the discussions at the conference.

The event was announced by Prof. M. O. B. Mohammed, the Coordinator of NAEAP LASU, who expressed his enthusiasm for the conference and highlighted its importance in promoting the use of ICT in educational management and planning in Africa.
