4 extra-curricular activities to explore in LASU (PT 1)

BEYOND the academic offerings of Lagos State University, there are several extra-curricular activities available on campus that can aid the overall development of the students.

This podcast is a two-part series that explores NGOs at LASU that support students' personal and professional development through extra-curricular activities.

The first is the Women and Girls Empowerment Foundation International (WOGEFI), a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering women and girls in Nigeria.

Founded in 2020, the organisation's mission is to empower women and girls so that they can realise their full potential and contribute to the development of their communities. WOGEFI works to achieve this goal through a variety of programmes and initiatives, including mentorship programmes and outreaches.

Junior Chamber International (LASU)

Junior Chamber International (JCI) empowers young people to create positive change through entrepreneurship, leadership, networking, and community service. JCI's mission is to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create a better future.

JCI and WOGEFI are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to organisations at LASU that students can join to make a difference in their communities.

If you're eager to take action and have an impact, look for organisations that align with your interests and values. There are many ways to get involved, and by joining an organisation that inspires you, you can create positive change in society.
